The Warm Summer Night
The warmth of the night lies in the colour composition of this painting, though I know the glow at the back is not looking anything similar to that of the moon. But do you feel it is anything else? Can't you feel the warmth of the summer night? Yes, that is the magic of colours!! Do enjoy the warmth and the serenity. Click on the picture to view a larger image.

Amidst Nature
This is an old watercolour painting, done by me in the year 1982. The place seemed to be very peaceful. A peaceful place is any artist's paradise. Tweet Subscribe to Beautiful and Sublime by Email Subscribe in a reader

An Impressionist's Idea of Nature
This is purely impressionistic in nature, a clear morning view. There is a path in between, very rarely used. Click on the picture for a larger, clearer image. Also please share it with everyone.

The hills are alive
Completed the painting a few weeks back. It is still fresh. Tried to finish it in a short time span. So I couldn't go into much details. Hope you like it. Can't you hear the sound of music? I can.

The Late Evening Glow
One must have seen the evening glow of the sun when it sets. Initially the glow is yellow in colour. Afterwards it becomes slightly orange. It is that late glow of the setting sun that I have tried to capture in this painting. Don't miss the hut and the trees along the horizon. This is a typical village scene in India.

A Narrow Stream
A marshy area with big grasses, not frequented by people. The picture has been given a soft veil of colouring to make a dreamy effect. Am I successful? Give your view through the comment box. I would so much love it!!!!!

Nature, on its own
I did this painting a few months back. Though the whole composition came from my mind, yet I know I must have seen this scene somewhere in the past. That is how things come out from our sub-conscious minds. Tweet Subscribe to Beautiful and Sublime by Email Subscribe in a reader
Nature, as it is
Long back, I had seen this place. Just wanted to paint a picture of that place, with trees and undergrowth, as I had seen it. I couldn't recall all the details. Still..... Hope you like it. (click on the picture to view a larger and clearer image)

Thoughtful
It so happened that one day she became somewhat thoughtful for some time after getting dressed up for an outing. I liked the way she was sitting and reflecting. I somehow kept it in memory and worked upon it later.

The Tired Afternoon
This very simple painting in mixed media on paper, (watercolour, colour pencil, little pastel) was done in 2005. Here I have tried to depict a glimpse of the life of a shepherdess of the hills. Just took it out yesterday night (Feb 9, 2011) and found that some areas have faded out. I had to work for more than two hours to set it right. It is ok now. Note the stick lying in front of her.

Afternoon Siesta
I had enough time as my wife was sleeping. But I couldn't wait long to see the final effect of the pose on paper. Hence I just hurried to finish it. This was done with ball-point pen and some colour.

Upset
This pencil drawing was done very hastily. Actually I had very little time in hand, else I could have lost the so very natural pose of my wife.
